Book Review – 56 Days by Catherine Ryan Howard

This story had many twists and turns and brought back a lot of memories from that time of uncertainty. This author had a certain set of boundaries to work within her scenes and I admire how she was able to use details to build what would ordinary scenes into total jaw-droppers. The timeline is woven in a way that has you on the edge of your seat and feeling uncertain about what day it was and what was going to happen next. Which was very much the vibe at the start of the pandemic.

This book also had a surprising amount of humor and some great conversational dialogue. Between both Ciara and Oliver, as well as the investigating detectives. Garda Karl was one of my favorite characters.
